Webinar Series on NATO’s Role in Promoting Stability and Security in the Western Balkans
On 30 and 31 August DeSo organized a series of four webinars on the topic of NATO’s role in promoting stability and security in the Western Balkans. The events attracted interest primarily among young people from the region. Over 120 of them registered to take part in the events.
The webinars included several presenters from the regions, including from Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo, Montenegro, and North Macedonia.
The speakers discussed their countries’ relationships with the Alliance. Speakers from Albania, Montenegro, and North Macedonia discussed the path of their countries to joining NATO.
The discussions also covered the traditional challenges in the Western Balkans, as well as the new geopolitical consequences from the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
